“Once upon a time”
So it starts a fairy tale. But what would happen to those stories if nobody ever spoke of them?
And how would it be if someone could perform the rituals of magic that inhabit such tales?
There is a legend!
A long, long time ago behind the land of God Endovelicus, a prince, in celebration of his engagement, invited a storyteller to entertain his guests with his tales of sorcery.
One such tale was of a sorceress who would marry a man just so she could eat his heart, which allowed her to remain forever young. As the storyteller was going through the tale, he noticed that the bride was very similar to another bride from a different engagement party. In fact, the storyteller was certain that he had seen this woman in many other wedding festivities.
The sorceress bride was thus unmasked. However, as she escaped from the palace, she casted an evil curse upon the storyteller that would last until the end of eternity. From that day onward, he would have to tell the tale of the sorceress bride at least once per day and, on the nights of full moon, we would become a werewolf. Only by marrying the sorceress bride would he ever become free of the spell.
In the following centuries the storytellers walked the world, always telling the story at least once a day and becoming a werewolf in the nights of full moon. But the storyteller was determined to get rid of the curse, so he started researching in the library of Alexandria for anything about the sorceress bride. As the centuries went by, his studies grew as well and he eventually started reading books about arcane magic and in time he become a sorcerer as well. He started to include magic in his own tales to further entertain everybody who listened to his tales.
Throughout history, there are several records of the wonders achieved by this sorcerer, but it is unknown if he ever got rid of the curse.
It is assumed that he is still among people in the Old Continent…
